The parish office will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024 in observance of New Year’s Day, a federal holiday. The only Mass at St. Jane will be celebrated at 10:00 am.

If the Federal Government is closed due to inclement weather, St. Jane de Chantal will not hold the 8:30 am weekday Mass. Please stay safe at home, and allow our snow removal crews to clear and treat our parking lots and walkways. If the Federal Government is opening on a delayed schedule, St. Jane will hold the 8:30 am Mass.

The annual communal reconciliation service during Advent will take place on Tuesday, December 5, at 7:00 pm in Church. After a brief Liturgy of the Word, priests will be available to hear individual confessions.

Please be advised that due to inclement weather and road conditions, this evening's Adoration and Scriptural Foundations of the Eucharist with Bro. Luke at 7pm has been canceled.

Hunger continues to be a daily burden for children and families in our community. For this holiday, we will be hosting our Advent Parish Food Drive on Saturday, December 16, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, at the front door entrance of the church facing Old Georgetown Rd. The food will benefit Bethesda Help; Catholic Charities of Montgomery County; and the Fr. McKenna Center. Click for more information.

This year’s #iGiveCatholic that will take place on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023 will benefit the School Excellence Fund. Advanced Giving is from Nov. 13 - 27. Each year St. Jane de Chantal School provides children with an exceptional education. When calculating the tuition rate we purposefully keep the tuition level moderate in an effort to make Catholic education affordable for families from all income levels. As a result, there is a gap between the actual cost to educate and the tuition paid. With a gift to the De Chantal School Excellence Fund you can help narrow this gap and insure all children at St. Jane de Chantal School continue to get a high quality education. The only Mass at St. Jane will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Poor Box on Thanksgiving will benefit St. Martin’s Cloak. The Parish office will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24.

Join the Evangelization Committee for the first installment of this year's Evangelization Lecture Series. Saturday, September 30th from 12pm-1:30pm in Caulfield Hall. Attendance is FREE and a light lunch will be served. Fr. Morgan will analyze some of the key points and concepts from Pope Francis' June 2022 Apostolic Letter, Desiderio Desideravi. In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Jane de Chantal Church is holding a blessing of trees and animals on October 1st. The blessing of the memorial trees (those dedicated from the Memorial Tree Project of the parish Environmental Committee) will be at 11am in the school grounds, and the blessing of animals and pets will be between 2-3pm at the Mary Garden. Back by popular demand. This year the scripture groups will take a "Great Adventure" :through the Bible, from the creation of the world in Genesis to the creation of the Church in Acts. Starting the week of October 1 study groups will meet weekly to learn more about how God reveals his plan through the Bible.
