Election period: 2026 April 18 - May 3.
New elected members will be appointed in June, 2026.
The Parish Pastoral Council is Seeking Nominations for New Members for the Upcoming Term Starting in September 2026. Please Prayerfully Consider Nominating Yourself or Another to Serve Our Pastor and Parish Family. Nominations are due by March 29. Elections will be held April 18 to May 3 and new members will be appointed in June 2026.
Registered parishioners may nominate themselves or another registered parishioner by submitting the following to the Parish Office as soon as possible or by the March 29 deadline: (1) Nominee’s name, contact information, and consent to serve; (2) A brief (100 words or less) nominee biography relevant to the position.

Pastoral Council
-
The Pastoral Council advises and assists the pastor in achieving the goals of the parish. This includes:
- advising and recommending parish policies to the pastor
- represent the needs and views of parishion organizations and committees
- coordinating activities among the parish organizations
- promote the mission and overall good of the parish
Matters in which the Pastoral Council is involved include:
- assisting in social justice initiatives
- enhancing communication of parish activities and needs through a variety of outlets
- planning for parish celebrations (such as the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner)
- supporting supplemental evangelization and ministry programs
The Pastoral Council consists of 15 elected members serving for a three-year term and may be eligible to renew for a 2nd 3 year term. They meet once a month from September - June. The Pastoral Council also includes non elected representatives of Parish Organizations which includes the School Principal, the Director of Religious Education, and the representatives of the Sodality, Finance Council, Home and School Association, School Board, and CYO.

Finance Council
-
The Finance Council is advisory to the Pastor and assists him in fulfilling the following responsibilities:
Assuring that an annual budget is properly prepared.- Reviewing reports from the Archdiocesan accounting system on a regular basis.
- Ensuring the submission of the Annual Financial Report to the Archdiocese.
- Publishing the Annual Financial Statements for distribution to all parishioners.
- Reviewing and recommending periodically investment choices to the Pastor for interest- bearing checking, savings, mutual funds, CD’s and treasuries with regards to the needs of the parish both short and long term.
- Reviewing and recommending if necessary a plan to increase the church support through the Offertory and any other appropriate collections. Work with the Stewardship Council to implement any increased giving plan.
- Developing a plan for the financing of necessary repairs, renovations and purchase of equipment as needed. Implement a plan to accrue funds for asset replacements/repair in connection with life expectancy of equipment and assets.
- Developing a plan for systematic payment of any parish debt.
- Implementing all diocesan policies relative to financial matters including review that all federal, state and local tax laws are adhered to and appropriate forms submitted with payments if necessary.
- Maintaining awareness that the appropriate insurance coverage is in place for safeguarding the assets of the parish from loss or damage.
- Periodically providing the Pastoral Council with reports on the financial status of the parish.
Members of the Finance Council for 2020-21 fiscal year are: Matt Chalfant, Ben Jolly, Maureen Morris, Jerry Pitts, Patty Bubar, Steve Roth, Carl Wilkerson and Margaret Anne Strand (chairperson).The Finance Council meets four times per year.
