Every October, we consider more deeply why every human life is valuable and reflect on how to build a culture that protects life from conception to natural death. This October, all are invited to join the Rosary Campaign for the Unborn. A sign-up sheet will be available in the Church Narthex starting the weekend of September 27 and 28. Write your name and how many rosaries’ you pledge to pray for the month. Rosaries can be said anytime and anywhere.

In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of pets and animals, Fr. Giese and Fr. Morgan will be offering a blessing of animals on Sunday, October 5 between 2pm - 3pm at the Mary Garden. For those who would like to remain in their vehicle and would like to have their pets blessed inside their car, please inform us ahead of time (until Thursday, October 2) by emailing the parish office at [email protected] or call at 301-530-1550.

Monday, September 1 is Labor Day, a federal holiday. Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. The parish office will be closed.

On Friday, August 15, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holyday of obligation. Masses at St. Jane will be celebrated at 8:30 am, 12:00 noon, and 7:00 pm.

The Feast of St. Jane Frances de Chantal, our Parish Patroness, and Foundress of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary is on Tuesday, August 12, and will be celebrated during all Masses the weekend of August 9 and 10. The Rosary Group and the Vocations Ministry warmly invite all parishioners to join in praying a nine-day parish novena to our beloved Saint Jane de Chantal, immediately following the weekday morning Masses beginning Monday August 4 - Tuesday August 12. We will pray for the following parish intention: "Priestly and Religious Order Vocations".

Fr. Morgan invites all parish families to join him for a pilgrimage to Emmitsburg, Maryland on Saturday August 16th. Highlights include a rosary at the Grotto at Mt. St. Mary’s University, Mass at the Seton Shrine, and a picnic lunch a Big Slide Park. The itinerary is designed to accommodate families with children, but all are encouraged to attend. Fr. Jimmy Morgan, together with Fr. Taylor Colwell of St. Elizabeth’s parish, invites all young adults to an evening of fellowship, appetizers, and conversation on Wednesday, July 23rd from 7-9 pm at the Rock Creek Mansion on West Cedar Lane. Click HERE to learn more, and to RSVP.

In honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, all are invited to join us in church on Wednesday, July 16th. We will pray the Rosary starting at 8am, and attend the 8:30 am Mass. The Brown Scapular will be distributed for free, followed by an investiture ceremony.

Join us in Caulfield Hall on Saturday, July 12th at 12 noon, as Fr. Keon Tu, in Capuchin Franciscan order from China, will present a talk on “Conversion Through the Real Presence of the Eucharist.” Light lunch will be served. The parish office will close early at 2pm on Thursday, July 3rd, and will be closed all day on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day, a federal holiday. Mass at St. Jane will proceed to be celebrated at 8:30 am on both days.

On May 12, 2025, Father Giese released a letter to our community announcing our new school principal who will take office at the beginning of the incoming school year, 2025-26. In gratitude for the prayers and support during his preparation for the priesthood, all are cordially invited to join (soon to be) Reverend Marco Antonio Cerritelli as he celebrates a Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving on the Feast of Corpus Christi, Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 10:00 am, followed by a Eucharistic Procession. The Mass will also be livestreamed on the parish YouTube channel at youtube.com/@StJaneDeChantal. Immediately after, please join us at Seton Center for a short reception with some refreshment in celebration of Father Marco Cerritelli’s ordination. All are welcome!

Holy Hour for Vocations This month of June, in lieu of our First Friday Adoration after morning Mass, St. Jane Frances de Chantal Parish invites all to join us for a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 7:00 pm in Church. Together with fellow St. Jane parishioners, we will be praying for Vocations and for the men who will be ordained to the Priesthood. Among those to be ordained this year are St. Jane parishioner, Marco Cerritelli, and Dominican student, Bro. Gregory Santy, O.P. Join us for an evening of food, fellowship, and faith! Our Catholic Young Adult Group is hosting a potluck and speaker event on Saturday, June 7th at 6:00 PM in the Seton Center. Following his Ordination, Bro. Gregory Santy, O.P. of the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph, will be celebrating his first Mass of Thanksgiving here at St. Jane de Chantal Church. Please join us on Sunday, June 8th at 10:00 am. The Mass will also be available via livestream on the parish YouTube channel, youtube.com/@StJaneDeChantal. Immediately following the Mass, all are invited to join us for a short reception with cake, coffee, tea and lemonades in Caulfield Hall.
