Thursday, November 27 is Thanksgiving. The only Mass at St. Jane will be celebrated at 10:30 am and our Poor Box will benefit St. Martin’s Cloak. The Parish Office will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28. There will be NO Children's Liturgy on Saturday, November 29 during the 5pm vigil Mass.

Jump start Advent with a fun family tradition! Registrations are open for this year's Advent Wreath Workshop, which will take place after the 10 am Mass on November 30th in Caulfield Hall. Sodality invites women of the parish to “Share Your Hope” and join the Sodality Annual Women’s Retreat on Saturday, January 31st at the Franciscan Monastery in Washington, DC. Space is limited, so please register now to secure a spot! Click to view the flyer and registration information.

Several permanent changes to campus traffic flow, driveway use, and parking areas are underway. Phase 1 of this year-long program will include newly designated Fire Lanes and No Parking Zones mandated by the County Fire Marshal. Work begins this week and will take effect by November 21st. Future phases will be announced separately as plans are finalized. Details can be found on our parish website.

The Religious Items Store, hosted by the Ladies of Charity, is open this Sunday, November 16 after the 12 noon Mass. Featured items include Christmas story books and activity books for kids, Christmas ornaments and Advent calendars, and so much more! Please stop by and catch an opportunity for early holiday shopping!

Adult parishioners and parish friends are cordially invited to this year's Communion Breakfast on Sunday, November 2, 2025 in Caulfield Hall, after the 10am Mass. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Jim Lindsay, former CEO of Christ House, a 24-7 medical respite facility for men experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC. The Little Bethlehem Christian Group will be present after all Masses the weekend of October 11 and 12. Little Bethlehem is a group that represents 200 Christian families who live in Bethlehem and make their living as wood carvers. They offer religious items, carved from the olive wood of the Holy Land, to support and help fund the Christian presence in the Holy Land. For more information, visit www.little-bethlehem.org. The Parish Men’s Ministry will be hosting its annual Men’s Retreat on Sunday, October 12 starting at 12pm. Please register to attend, on or before October 8. Click here for more details.

Every October, we consider more deeply why every human life is valuable and reflect on how to build a culture that protects life from conception to natural death. This October, all are invited to join the Rosary Campaign for the Unborn. A sign-up sheet will be available in the Church Narthex starting the weekend of September 27 and 28. Write your name and how many rosaries’ you pledge to pray for the month. The Gabriel Project crib will also be present in the church narthex all month of October - accepting donations of baby and toddler items. Click for more details.

In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of pets and animals, Fr. Giese and Fr. Morgan will be offering a blessing of animals on Sunday, October 5 between 2pm - 3pm at the Mary Garden. For those who would like to remain in their vehicle and would like to have their pets blessed inside their car, please inform us ahead of time (until Thursday, October 2) by emailing the parish office at [email protected] or call at 301-530-1550.

Monday, September 1 is Labor Day, a federal holiday. Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. The parish office will be closed.

On Friday, August 15, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holyday of obligation. Masses at St. Jane will be celebrated at 8:30 am, 12:00 noon, and 7:00 pm.
